On Campus in Peru
High in the Peruvian Andes, Fathers James Madden and Ray Finch are developing a project for 20,000 students and faculty in a university in Puno, Peru. Help them become today’s and tomorrow’s Catholic leaders.
This is an evangelization project among students and faculty of te National University of the Altiplano-Puno.
The student population at the University is 16,000 with a facutly of 800. There are multiple services, programs, volunteer and mission opportunities for students. It involves integral, Christian, human development in an atmospher of interculural dialogue among students and faculty.
With a group of faculty wer are in the process of establishing an Ethical Institute (to be approprately named) that will be independent, but related to the University.
This project connects withthe following regional goals and activities:
- youth work
- leadership formation for civil society
- intercultural dialogue
- promotion of volunteers and mission workers at the national level
